With a heart for those who suffer under negative emotions, Dr. Marino began his practice as a pastoral counselor in 1980. After graduating as a psychologist in his native Argentina, he came to the States to finish his doctoral studies. All along his main preoccupation has been how to combine the scientific psychological theories and techniques with Christian thought and teachings. To this effect, he has written several books in order to provide believers who are suffering under different conditions and disorders, with treatments that won’t disrupt his or her beliefs.
A professor of pastoral psychology for 35 years, he has also worked as a counselor in mental health clinics as well as in private practice. Formed as a psychoanalyst he specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Existential Therapy applied to pastoral counseling with a Christian World View.
Yazmine Marimon graduated in 2006 as a psychologist in Cuba and finished his Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2010 in Nova Southeastern University, specializing herself in Sex Therapy and graduating with her doctoral degree in that field. She has worked as a counselor in several private clinics being Henderson Behavioral Health one of them. Was lead therapist for Agape Network as well as clinician supervisor. Has been certified as an addiction Counselor and has treated Individuals, couples in family counseling. Develop and implemented, individualized treatment plans that define services and interventions.
Dr. Marimon is the Clinical Director who trains and supervises the group of interns who are about to receive their counseling degrees or licences.
You’ll feel very comfortable in your first visit as we listen to your situation and provide you right there with a treatment plan using all the different tools available in psychology today, including various therapy techniques from Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Solution Focused brief therapy, always with a Christian Worldview.
